Tiimely — Brand Rollout & Digital Design System

Evolving a fintech brand through consistency, scale, and considered execution.

I worked with Tiimely over a 12-month engagement, supporting the in-house marketing and design team across a broad range of digital touchpoints.

Tiimely is a fintech company powering smarter lending solutions, alongside its retail offering, Tiimely Home. My role focused on delivering digital-first design across web, motion, and marketing, ensuring every output aligned with a modern, trustworthy, and customer-focused brand.

Context

At the time of engagement, Tiimely was undergoing a brand refresh, evolving its positioning from “The pursuit of seamless” to:

“The Future of Financial Assessment.”

Rather than a complete visual overhaul, this shift called for a measured evolution of the existing brand system—refining how it expressed itself across digital environments while maintaining recognisable foundations such as typography, colour, and infographic style.

The challenge was not to reinvent, but to translate strategic intent into consistent, scalable design execution across the organisation.

Phase 1 — Brand Refresh & System Rollout

In the initial phase, I worked closely within the team to translate the refreshed brand direction into practical, usable design outputs across a wide range of touchpoints, including presentation templates, marketing templates, website graphics, and social media assets.

Working within an established visual language, I focused on refinement over reinvention, ensuring that each application felt cohesive, contemporary, and aligned with the updated positioning. Alongside this, I contributed to updating the brand guidelines, helping to formalise how the refreshed elements could be consistently applied across teams.

 

Transition — From Execution to Ownership

As the engagement progressed, my role evolved from supporting execution to leading design outcomes across projects.

I took on greater responsibility for design thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving, ensuring each deliverable not only addressed immediate needs but also contributed to a cohesive and scalable brand system.

This shift marked a transition from interpreting direction to defining solutions, and from producing individual assets to strengthening overall system consistency and optimisation.

Phase 2 — Independent Design & Ongoing Optimisation

With increased ownership, my focus shifted towards maintaining and evolving the brand through consistent, system-led design decisions.

Rather than introducing new styles, I worked within the existing framework to improve clarity, efficiency, and cohesion across all outputs.

Website & Product Experience

A significant portion of the work centred on supporting and refining the website experience. I designed a large volume of infographics to communicate complex financial concepts in a clear and accessible way, alongside motion graphics that enhanced engagement and storytelling.

Where possible, I reused and adapted existing visual components to maintain consistency, improve production efficiency, and reinforce a unified visual language. I also revisited existing pages to make targeted visual refinements, improving hierarchy, clarity, and overall coherence.

Design System & Visual Consistency

As the volume of assets grew, maintaining consistency became increasingly critical. I identified and addressed inconsistencies across the brand by refreshing and standardising iconography, refining layout structures and spacing systems, and improving the usability of templates across teams.

These adjustments strengthened the overall system and enabled the brand to scale more effectively across web, marketing, and internal communications.

Marketing & Content Assets

I supported the marketing team with a continuous stream of campaign and content-driven assets, including LinkedIn graphics (both static and motion) and downloadable PDF resources.

Each piece required a careful balance between brand alignment, clarity of information, and visual engagement, often translating complex subject matter into accessible and structured formats.

Motion & Digital Communication

Motion design played a key role in enhancing digital communication. I created animated assets for both web and social, using motion to simplify complex ideas, improve engagement, and add depth to the brand experience.

All motion work remained grounded in the existing visual system, ensuring consistency across both static and dynamic outputs.

Tiimely Home (Retail)

During the early phase of the engagement, I also supported Tiimely Home with social media advertising, primarily for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Google Ads. This involved adapting the broader brand language to suit a more consumer-facing context while maintaining alignment with the parent brand.

Outcome

This engagement was defined not by a single deliverable, but by sustained design contribution across a high-output environment.

Through consistent application and refinement, I helped roll out an evolved brand direction across multiple touchpoints, maintain visual consistency at scale, improve the clarity and usability of digital communication, and support ongoing marketing initiatives with efficient, system-led design.

Reflection

This project strengthened my ability to work within and evolve an existing design system, balancing consistency with adaptability across a wide range of formats.

It marked a progression towards greater ownership in design thinking, where each decision contributed not just to individual outputs, but to the integrity and scalability of the brand as a whole.
